Description:
Requirement & Roles:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement.
- Good knowledge of local markets and suppliers in Oman.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- Omani driving license (preferred).
Local Purchasing
- Source and purchase stationery, pantry supplies, workshop tools, spare parts, and other daily operational items.
- Identify, evaluate, and select local suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capability.
- Obtain multiple quotations and prepare comparison sheets for approval.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Procurement Operations
- Prepare Purchase Requests (PR) and issue Purchase Orders (PO).
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchases, invoices, delivery notes, and approvals.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Coordinate with storekeepers to check stock levels and reorder as needed.
- Monitor usage of stationery and pantry items to avoid shortages.
- Support the workshop team with urgent purchase requirements.
Vendor Management
- Maintain and update a database of local suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable service.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price, and delivery reliability.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare weekly and monthly purchasing reports.
- Support annual budgeting for office, pantry, and workshop supplies.
Fuel Consumption Monitoring
- Monitor and track fuel (petrol) consumption for company vehicles.
- Prepare monthly reports on fuel usage to ensure cost control
Vehicle Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Monitor the condition, maintenance schedules, and cleanliness of company vehicles
- Coordinate regular servicing and urgent repairs with workshops or service centres
- Ensure vehicles are kept in good working condition and presentable at all times
- Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and cleaning schedules
