Job Summary (Senior Ventures and Partnership Expert)
- Identify and source new ventures, partnerships, and investment opportunities in the mining and related sectors, aligned with company strategy.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, sector analysis, and risk assessments to evaluate business opportunities.
- Develop and analyze financial models, valuations, and strategic assessments to support investment decisions.
- Lead due diligence processes and structure complex commercial transactions, including joint ventures and investment agreements.
- Negotiate and execute agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government, financial institutions, industry stakeholders, and international partners.
- Represent the company in high-level meetings, forums, and negotiations with local and international stakeholders.
- Monitor and track the performance of existing investments and partnerships, providing oversight on post-deal integration and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams across functions (strategy, legal, finance, technical) to align partnership and investment activities with corporate strategy.
- Promote knowledge sharing and internal development within the business development team.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s/MBA preferred) and a minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, ideally with exposure to mining or related sectors and a strong track record in executing complex transactions.
