Job Title: Welding / NDT Inspector
Location: Sohar, Oman (with occasional international missions)
Reports To: Senior Welding / NDT Inspector
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Welding / NDT Inspector to oversee and monitor welding and non-destructive testing activities during construction and pre-commissioning phases. The role ensures strict adherence to technical standards, project specifications, and HSE requirements, while supporting the construction team in maintaining the highest levels of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and validate Welding and NDT inspections (UT, RT, MT, PT) in line with project codes and standards.
Monitor contractor and subcontractor performance, inspection plans, and corrective actions.
Review NDT procedures, methodologies, and reports, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Participate in site inspections, HSE audits, and construction meetings.
Report and escalate anomalies, non-conformities, and deviations, ensuring corrective measures are implemented.
Provide technical support to the construction and quality teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 10 years in NDT, including 5 years in a similar role on LNG or large-scale industrial projects.
Valid Level 2 certifications: ASNT 9712 / PCN (or equivalent) in UT, RT, MT, PT.
Valid welding certification: CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI.
Strong knowledge of international welding codes and inspection practices.
Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to work in multicultural teams.
English language proficiency (mandatory).
