Building Delivery Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Building Delivery Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of buildings and associated facilities for a major industrial project in Sohar, Oman. This site-based role is responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and high-quality execution of assigned building packages, from engineering and procurement through construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning support, and final handover.
As the Client's focal point, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, EPC contractors, and key stakeholders to drive project delivery, manage interfaces, resolve execution challenges, and ensure successful project completion in line with schedule, quality, and HSE objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of assigned buildings throughout the complete project lifecycle.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor contractor performance, progress, productivity, and resource mobilisation.
- Identify delivery risks, construction constraints, and schedule impacts, while driving timely corrective actions.
- Ensure engineering deliverables, technical queries, material availability, and procurement activities support construction progress.
- Monitor compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards, inspections, NCR management, and punch list closure.
- Coordinate mechanical completion, system handover, and commissioning readiness with project stakeholders.
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings and track actions through to completion.
- Provide accurate and concise progress reports covering schedule, quality, HSE, contractor performance, risks, and project milestones.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience delivering building or infrastructure packages within large EPC, LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project handover processes.
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
- Sound understanding of construction planning, project scheduling, HSE, QA/QC, mechanical completion, and commissioning.
- Proven ability to identify project risks, resolve execution issues, and drive delivery performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills.
