Job Description: Deputy Workshop Manager – Workshop
Position Overview:
As the Deputy Workshop Manager, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations, supporting the Service/Workshop Manager in ensuring efficient service delivery for equipment and trucks. This role emphasizes the critical link between high-quality after-sales service, customer satisfaction, and the promotion of parts and units.
Location: Muscat, Oman
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Support
Assist in managing daily workshop operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of service and maintenance tasks.
Support the allocation of resources and prioritization of work orders in coordination with workshop staff.
2. Team Leadership
Assist in supervising and motivating technicians and support staff to maintain high productivity and quality standards.
Support training initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of workshop personnel.
3. Customer Relations
Engage with clients to understand service needs and address concerns promptly.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service excellence.
4. Quality and Safety Control
Assist in implementing quality control procedures to ensure precision and accuracy in all service and repair work.
Monitor compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
5. Inventory Management
Support inventory management of spare parts and consumables, ensuring sufficient stock levels for smooth operations.
Coordinate with the Parts Department to source required items efficiently.
6. Budgetary Support
Assist the Service/Workshop Manager in budget preparation and monitoring.
Help control costs and ensure financial objectives are met.
7. Sales and After-Sales Integration
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote after-sales services.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of services, parts, and equipment/trucks.
Support customer engagement programs to nurture leads and drive repeat business.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 10 years in workshop/service management, preferably in equipment or truck maintenance.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic.
Nationality: Omani
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities; knowledge of workshop operations, inventory management, and after-sales service.
