Position Overview:
As the Deputy Workshop Manager, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations, supporting the Service/Workshop Manager in ensuring efficient service delivery for equipment and trucks. This role emphasizes the critical link between high-quality after-sales service, customer satisfaction, and the promotion of parts and units.

Location: Muscat, Oman

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Support

  • Assist in managing daily workshop operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of service and maintenance tasks.

  • Support the allocation of resources and prioritization of work orders in coordination with workshop staff.

2. Team Leadership

  • Assist in supervising and motivating technicians and support staff to maintain high productivity and quality standards.

  • Support training initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of workshop personnel.

3. Customer Relations

  • Engage with clients to understand service needs and address concerns promptly.

  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service excellence.

4. Quality and Safety Control

  • Assist in implementing quality control procedures to ensure precision and accuracy in all service and repair work.

  • Monitor compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

5. Inventory Management

  • Support inventory management of spare parts and consumables, ensuring sufficient stock levels for smooth operations.

  • Coordinate with the Parts Department to source required items efficiently.

6. Budgetary Support

  • Assist the Service/Workshop Manager in budget preparation and monitoring.

  • Help control costs and ensure financial objectives are met.

7. Sales and After-Sales Integration

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to promote after-sales services.

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling of services, parts, and equipment/trucks.

  • Support customer engagement programs to nurture leads and drive repeat business.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in workshop/service management, preferably in equipment or truck maintenance.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic.

  • Nationality: Omani

  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities; knowledge of workshop operations, inventory management, and after-sales service.
