Job Description: Mechanical Engineer – Workshop
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the workshop team, responsible for supporting maintenance, repair, and service operations for equipment and trucks. The role emphasizes ensuring high-quality service, safety compliance, and contributing to efficient workshop operations.
Location: Muscat, Oman
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance and Repair
Plan, supervise, and execute maintenance and repair work on equipment and trucks.
Troubleshoot mechanical faults and recommend solutions for efficient operation.
2. Technical Support
Provide technical guidance to workshop technicians and support staff.
Assist in evaluating service requirements and preparing work orders.
3. Quality and Safety
Ensure compliance with workshop safety procedures and industry standards.
Implement quality control checks for maintenance and repair work.
4. Inventory and Parts Management
Support the tracking and management of spare parts and consumables.
Coordinate with the parts team to ensure timely availability of components.
5. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service schedules.
Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 5 years in mechanical engineering, preferably in equipment or truck maintenance.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Languages: Fluent in English and Arabic.
Nationality: Omani
Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills; knowledge of mechanical systems, workshop operations, and safety standards.
