Education Qualification

Skill/Knowledge
- Proficiency in simulation software such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS®E, or ETAP.
- Strong understanding of local grid codes, transmission planning, and interconnection standards.
- Experience with HV substations (design, equipment, layout) and overhead lines is essential.
- Ability to interpret network development plans, electrical schematics, and protection philosophies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Power System Integration Engineer to support grid connection processes and grid compliance for utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hybrid). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power system studies and substation design, as well as a comprehensive understanding of transmission networks and grid infrastructure
- Perform grid connection studies, including load flow, short circuit analysis, and dynamic simulations to assess compliance with grid codes and technical requirements.
- Conduct power system analysis to evaluate grid topology, connection points, and regional power flows.
- Identify and assess optimal grid connection points based on capacity availability, voltage levels, and system stability.
- Analyze existing grid infrastructure and propose substation upgrade or expansion measures, including HV equipment and protection systems.
- Collaborate with transmission system operators (TSOs) and distribution system operators (DSOs) during technical due diligence and interconnection application processes.
- Evaluate overhead transmission lines (OHL), substation high-voltage systems (AIS/GIS), and related components for technical feasibility and compliance.
- Support the development of grid connection strategies, including conceptual design of substations and grid interfaces.
