Role Purpose
The Director of Operations – Oman is a senior leadership role responsible for managing all operational activities within Oman. The position ensures alignment with the broader regional strategy and operational standards. The role involves overseeing infrastructure setup, compliance, stakeholder management, and supporting various business functions to ensure efficient execution and sustainable operations in Oman.
Operations Leadership
- Manage and oversee all operational functions across offices and project sites in Oman.
- Serve as the primary liaison with local government entities, service providers, and external partners.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and adherence to internal policies and local regulations.
- Set up and maintain office and project infrastructure, including logistics and administrative services.
- Develop and enforce office management protocols covering safety, mail handling, pantry services, reception, and visitor coordination.
- Support internal events and carry out executive requests as directed by the CEO.
- Human Resources
- Oversee HR processes including onboarding, compliance with local employment laws, and alignment with corporate HR policies.
- Collaborate with regional HR and external consultants to manage recruitment and employment matters until a local HR team is in place.
- Finance, Legal & IT Oversight
- Ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements in Oman.
- Approve and monitor operational expenses and petty cash in the absence of a local finance function.
- Manage the onboarding and coordination of third-party providers for accounting, legal, and IT support.
- Maintain strong relationships with banking partners, ensuring accuracy in financial processes.
- Oversee documentation and ensure all operational records are properly stored and accessible.
- Public Relations & Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead local stakeholder and community engagement initiatives until a dedicated PR function is established.
- Coordinate with regional communications teams to develop stakeholder registers and event calendars.
- Manage local media relations and ensure consistent brand representation.
- Team Development & Collaboration
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing operations team in Oman.
- Foster effective relationships with local government bodies and community stakeholders.
- Act as a bridge between local and regional/global teams, ensuring smooth coordination and communication.
- Support CEO and senior leadership during key visits and engagements.
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by the CEO.
