Job Description

Strategic 

  • Assist the Finance Director in formulation of the strategy and alignment to the ISFC’s financial objectives.
  • Align with the Sales & Marketing team to achieve sales and revenues set targets.
  • Identify ways and means to improve sales efficiency and revenue collection.
  • Assist in realizing tax & tariff exemptions at addressable markets of ISFC.
  • Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial processes and supporting information systems of the company to the budgeting, tax planning, asset management, risk management, internal control, and corporate governance perspectives.
  • Continually monitor and evaluate the strategy of the company to ensure the long-term financial viability of the organization.
  • Lead the work in identifying diversified funding options for the long- term sustenance and growth of ISFC
  • Work closely with the executive management in aligning the business plan and financial planning process of ISFC with the funding plans of the business.

People

  • Ensure that the relevant policies and procedures support the delivery of ISFC’s objectives
  • Ensure creation of a robust financial performance management and development system that supports employee learning and growth.
  • Monitor and evaluate of performance of direct reports on a regular basis, coach, and provide opportunities for continuous learning and development.

Operational

 

  • Ensure sufficient liquidity to manage the day-to-day operations of ISFC and deployment of additional funds in appropriate financial instruments.
  • Liaise with banks and financial institutions to ensure debt funding undertaken by ISFC with the most favourable terms.
  • Implement systems & procedures to ensure efficient & effective internal controls & risk management.
  • Ensure effective management of the company finances through quarterly reviews of internal controls and audits.
  • Ensure that the financial processes are compliant with the statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Carryout any necessary internal audit reviews & monitor the financial effectiveness of systems & controls.
  • Monitor costs through effective accounting controls and financial management.
  • Oversee the accounts and finance team’s activities on a day-to-day basis in ensuring appropriate maintenance of books of accounts, consolidation, periodic reconciliation, monitoring of budgets and payroll administration
