To develop the process operating practices, to lead the development and acquisition of the knowledge upon which the process operating practices are based and to ensure that the operating practices meet the needs of the plant's operation and quality requirements.

• To lead the development and acquisition of the knowledge that forms the basis of the companies Standard Operating Procedures, and to provide guidance in the development of said procedures.
• To train and coach the operating personnel in the use of the Standard Operating Procedures.
• To ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures enable the plant to meet its process and product quality requirements and operating targets as measured by key performance indicators (KPIs).
• To identify appropriate Critical Input Variables and Critical Output Variables directly affecting product quality and process efficiency.  Implement Statistical Process Control methods to monitor and track these variables to ensure the process evolution is in a direction of on target with minimum variation.
• To understand the causes of any failure to meet the quality or performance requirements, or the opportunities to improve quality and operating performance.
• To lead or participate in, as appropriate, the trouble-shooting and continuous improvement of the plant's processes required to meet the plant's process, quality, and KPI requirements and to incorporate any new knowledge into the plant's Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develop Process Check sheets, FMEA, Control Plan, Reaction Plan and define Operating/Quality Parameters
• Initiate Quality Alert, Communication system, RCCA, PCR as & when required
• To support activities to obtain quality certifications as and when required.
